Dr Asaf Bilgory

Fertility Specialist

Asaf believes that good fertility care starts with listening. He understands that fertility treatment can be both medically and emotionally challenging and aims to create a calm, supportive environment where patients feel heard and respected throughout their path.

He graduated from medical school at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary in 2011 and went on to complete training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine in Israel. He has gained extensive experience across a wide range of infertility investigations and treatments and has been actively involved in research, with several publications and presentations at national and international conferences. His clinical interests cover all aspects of fertility care, including optimising ovarian stimulation and frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles, reproductive surgery, and conditions such as PCOS and endometriosis.

Having worked in diverse, multicultural clinical settings, he values open communication, individualised care, and shared decision-making, and feels privileged to support people from all backgrounds on their path to building a family. Asaf and his family chose to move to Aotearoa New Zealand, drawn by its values of collaboration, fairness, and clinical excellence. In his spare time, he enjoys running, hiking, travelling, and spending time with his family.
