Dr Emma Ellis

Emma is a Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with Subspecialist expertise in Maternal Fetal Medicine.

Her career has spanned governance roles across clinical, management, and board roles. Emma was Chair of Ascot Radiology and Chair of the New Zealand Gynaecological Cancer Foundation. She has had a number of leading roles within the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (RANZCOG) including Chair of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Committee.

Emma has also contributed to maternal health initiatives internationally, including supporting the development of perinatal services and a maternal health network in Bhutan. Her initiatives in Bhutan and the introduction of complex fetal surgery into New Zealand were recognised with the award of Woman of the Year in 2010.

Emma enjoys an outdoor life with boating and skiing regularly on the holiday list!
