Dr Guy Fisher

Guy is a gynaecologist and fertility specialist in Auckland, with particular expertise in endometriosis, pelvic pain and advanced gynaecological ultrasound.

He focuses on helping patients understand how underlying gynaecological conditions may be affecting their fertility. By integrating pelvic ultrasound into his consultations, Guy provides real-time assessment and tailored treatment planning, often identifying conditions such as endometriosis or fibroids without the need for multiple external investigations.

Guy works with patients across all stages of their fertility journey, including fertility assessment, preconception planning and IVF. He has a particular interest in supporting patients with complex presentations, including endometriosis and pelvic pain, and in identifying underlying factors that may be affecting fertility or treatment outcomes.

He completed his medical training at the University of Otago and undertook specialist training in London, Auckland and Melbourne. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

Guy completed the two-year AGES advanced laparoscopic surgery fellowship at The Royal Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, focusing on complex endometriosis and fibroid surgery. He also completed an advanced ultrasound fellowship at University College London Hospitals, a world-leading centre for gynaecological ultrasound.

He holds a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) and a Master of Reproductive Medicine, and has particular expertise in the ultrasound assessment and mapping of endometriosis.

Guy aims to provide clear answers and a structured plan at every consultation, so patients feel informed, supported and confident in their next steps.

Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time with his wife Kate and their two young boys.
