In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is used to overcome a wide range of fertility issues and for many couples it gives the best chance of having a baby.

One review consultation with a doctor following treatment, OR early pregnancy care is included. Please refer to our Donor Treatment

  • Medications can be costly, so we try to issue only what is needed until the next blood test. If you do have leftover medications, we can accept them for disposal, but unfortunately we cannot reuse them so they cannot be refunded.
  • Medications are to be paid for at the time of pickup from the clinic, or before medications are couriered.
  • Payment for IVF medications is covered in the payment options below.
  • We issue sufficient medications to take you to your first blood test and scan. Further medications are issued as they are needed.

 Non-IVF Treatments

  • Treatment cycles are invoiced on Day 1 of treatment and the account is to be paid prior to insemination (IUI) or scan (Clomiphene or Letrozole).
  • IUI – if your cycle stopped prior to first blood test you will only be charged for medication received.

 IVF Treatment

  • IVF Treatment cycles are invoiced on the first day of treatment.
  • For your convenience we have three ways in which you can pay for your IVF treatment.

1  SPLIT PAYMENT

You pay $8,000 at the time you pick up your medications. The balance is due on the day of your trigger injection.

2  ADVANCE PAYMENT

At the start of your cycle, we will send you an estimate of your treatment costs. You pay this at the time you pick up your medications. At the end of your cycle we refund any overpayment, or send you an invoice for any additional costs. We expect 80% of people will receive refunds. Advance payment includes a $100 fee reduction as a thank you for using this option.

3  FERTILITY COVER

You pay a single upfront fee covering up to three cycles of IVF over an 18 month period. If treatment does not result in a live birth after the three cycles, you will receive a 70% refund. Please contact your clinic for further information regarding this option before starting treatment.

• The chance of pregnancy is dependent on many factors, as explained in our Pathway to a Child magazine – there is no refund if you do not become pregnant, unless you are paying under our ‘Fertility Cover’ option (see above).

• The medications cannot be refunded once they have been issued to you.

  


 

Donor Treatment Fees

Donor fees are in addition to treatment cycle fees. Please use this guide along with the current Treatment
Fees (listed above) to understand the costs of a donor treatment cycle. 

Counselling
  • Donors and intending parent(s), are required to attend one counselling consultation each.  
  • The cost of the initial counselling consultations is included in the donor treatment costs outlined below.
  • Additional counselling consultations may be requested by the donor or intending parent(s), or recommended by the Counsellor.
  • Joint counselling between the donor and intending parent(s) may also be requested, and is charged to the intending parent(s).
  • Additional counselling consultations incur a cost of $160 per consultation. 
Donor Treatment Costs
  • Donor fees include one medical consultation for the donor, one counselling consultation for the donor and the intending parent(s);
  • For clinic recruited donors, fees include any costs incurred in recruiting, screening and preparing donors.
  • All donors are screened for three commonly inherited genetic conditions, Cystic Fibrosis, Fragile X Syndrome and Spinal Muscular Atrophy.  The cost of screening for these conditions is included in the fees below.

  • Recipients of donor eggs pay for treatment at the time that the donor collects their
    medication.
  • Recipients pay the donor reimbursement when the donor starts her treatment cycle 
  • The clinic passes on the full reimbursement to the donor at the time of egg collection.

  ABOUT DONOR REIMBURSEMENT

  • The standard reimbursement covers typical expenses such as parking, child care, time, inconvenience. 
  • If the donor lives out of town and requires air fares and accommodation, these will require extra. reimbursement.
  • The reimbursement applies to all recipients, whether using a clinic or personal donor, and whether the treatment is privately or publicly funded.
  • Personal donors may elect to forgo reimbursement – this would need to be agreed in advance on a ‘case by case’ basis between the clinic and the donor.

 

ADDITIONAL TO THE EGG DONOR TREATMENT COSTS 

  • There may be additional treatment fees, for instance if the donor needs an anaesthetist for heavier sedation.
